March 26, 2022 (Update May 10, 2023, Update November 30, 2023)
If you follow me on Instagram, and you should, you will see I do a lot of shopping at Concord Market. So of course, I wanted to be at opening night of their new restaurant Nosh. It is located in the same space that Trail’s End occupied for many years before the pandemic brought it to an end. And although Trail’s End is gone, it is still can be seen if you know where to look.
The restaurant has been redesigned in a modern lounge style, but the layout remains mostly the same. The look is more elegant and chic than before. They added a pool table and shuffle board. There is a lounge area with games like connect four and cards against humanity. The main entrance has shifted and the focus is now the lower bar area. It is a much more attractive space, more with the times.
The menu too has been revamped. There is a large charcuterie section, a selection of flatbreads, and a few sandwiches, including the TEC burger. That stands for “Trail’s End Cafe.” There are also a couple salads and a few snacks. The drink menu only has a couple of cocktails but a strong beer list. There is a small kids’ menu, burger, pizza, and chicken fingers. They also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Opening night meal was wings, a burger, and brussels sprouts. The wings are small and crispy, served with a very nice jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. The Bourbon-Glazed Burger is pleasantly sweet and topped with onion straws and bacon, as well as gouda. The beef blend is very good and even though the burger was slightly over cooked, it remained juicy. The most interesting dish was the Blistered Shishito Peppers and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. It is seasoned with allepo pepper and honey. Although I haven’t seen this combination before, it works. The brussels, though big, were beautiful browned, a dish I would certainly get again.
It’s good to have the Trail’s End space back in action again. There is nothing quite like Nosh in the area. Beer, food, and games, all in one space is something that Concord needs. I wish them great success and hope to spend many fun nights there in the years to come.

Update May 10, 2023
My son loves Nosh because of the pool table, the shuffleboard table, and the other games in the lounge. We were back today for the first time in a while and a few things caught my attention enough that I wanted to update the review.
First, the wings have changed, they now have a sticky gochujang sauce. They are a really pleasant combination of spicy and sweet. Also different from a year ago are the brussels sprouts. There was a lot going on with them before, but now they are pretty straight forward, just extra crispy and amazing. My wife thought they were too crispy, but I thought they were perfect.
In addition to the food, our waiter Josh was superb. Flexible, easy-going, and quick to help. The drink menu is great. Right now they are featuring rumchata cocktail and a kiwi caipirinha, both on the sweet side, but lots of fun. And speaking of fun, they had a great jazz band tonight. I need to get the name of it so I can go back and hear them again (it was Annie and the Furtrappers). Overall I was really pleased and glad to see things going well.
Update November 30, 2023
I had a surprisingly good pecan crusted chicken salad. The chicken was really delicious and the salad which came next to it included mixed greens, goat cheese, pickled onions, and a honey mustard dressing.
