• I got my bottle as a gift from Michael after he traveled to Austria in 2017.

In 2o17 my friend Michael took a trip to Austria and brought me back a bottle of Reisetbauer Blue Gin. This gin is particularly special because it is only distilled once per year. They harvest the juniper just before the annual distilling and collect Mulan wheat from fields near the distillery to create their neutral spirit. The final product is 86 proof.

The exact twenty-seven botanicals used Blue Gin are kept a secret, but they include lemon zest, angelica root, coriander seeds, turmeric, and licorice root. The result is a bright, dry gin that is as enjoyable in a martini as it is in gin and tonic. Overall, this is an excellent gin.
