What I ate last week – February 27, 2026

My first meal back in the states was at Karma in Westford for my friend Marcie’s birthday. I’m partial to Karma, Concord, but these Duck Pie Tee, which they don’t have in Concord, were tasty. Strong on the cilantro, but that’s never a problem for me.

I made pork shoulder with cabbage, onion, and apple. Then I topped it with bacon, scallion, and some gravy I made from the braising liquid. Very good.

I had some leftover bolognese in my freezer so I made some fresh pasta added tomatoes and voila.

Meatball sub from Mario’s. You should be used to seeing that by now.

I haven’t been writing much about chowder lately, but this one from Ken’s was solid.

Friday in Lent calls for a fish sandwich and I didn’t want fries so this one from Twin Sea Food in West Concord came with a salad. I did however want fried shrimp and they were very good.
