Roast Beef: Bella’s – North Andover, MA
I didn't realize how far away North Andover was until I drove to Bella's. I'm willing to travel far for good food, but this was a hike. If I lived closer, I'd go here more often, but for now the distance puts it on the infrequent list. Fishbones – ✧✧✧
We have been eating at Fishbones for a long time and probably even had their chowder before, but it isn't something we got often. We stopped by to give it a fresh try, but didn't get around to writing it up. While we had an overall rating, we weren't prepared to share details. So we returned to try it again. The second cup was better than the first.

When we go up to Maine we often stop at a few places and get a small bite at each one. If you are heading to the Beaches Region, the part of Maine along the coast between New Hampshire and Portland, you might want to stop at a few of these favorites.

Billy’s Chowder House – ✧✧
We haven't had the best of luck with Maine chowder, but Billy's Chowder House makes several "best of" lists. We took a ride up to Maine just to get away for the day and I thought since we were nearby we should give it a try. Can Billy's redeem Maine's reputation?
