We have been eating at Fishbones for a long time and probably even had their chowder before, but it isn't something we got often. We stopped by to give it a fresh try, but didn't get around to writing it up. While we had an overall rating, we weren't prepared to share details. So we returned to try it again. The second cup was better than the first.

We haven't had the best of luck with Maine chowder, but Billy's Chowder House makes several "best of" lists. We took a ride up to Maine just to get away for the day and I thought since we were nearby we should give it a try. Can Billy's redeem Maine's reputation?
Sam LaGrassa’s
Sam LaGrassa's makes some of the best sandwiches in Boston. They have very limited hours, open only 11-2, Monday-Friday. Beware, these great sandwiches come at a hefty price.
gin no. 109 – Nora’s Irish Dry
no. 109 - Nora's Irish Dry Nora's Irish Dry is made by Tigh Nora, a bar in Galway, Ireland. The gin and bar are named for Nora Barnacle, wife of James Joyce. A London Dry with a modern profile, it's delicious in a G&T. I got my bottle from Michael when he visited Tigh Nora in 2025.
