Our 2025 visit to Alfredโs coincided with one of their five summer pierogi parties. The ones we ordered were stuffed with slow braised beef and placed on top of two rich sauces. I also had the bratwurst and wienerschnitzel holstein. For dessert, the blueberry-lemon cheesecake was heavenly. Iโve tried several desserts at Alfredโs and this is the best by far. Itโs made by Penn to Palmetto Pastries and Iโd try anything they make!
Update: Giuseppi’s – Hilton Head Island, SC
We went pack to Giuseppi's and got a new menu item: Tasso Ham Pizza - Tasso ham, sweet corn and black bean salsa, red onions, red peppers, mozzarella, provolone, garlic, olive oil and sour cream. See it near the bottom of the post below.

Local 11Ten – Savannah, GA
Local 11Ten is a contemporary restaurant in the Victorian District of Savannah. The seasonal menu highlights southern flavors and local ingredients. A pork chop and an olive oil cake both highlighted exquisite Georgia peaches.
Ostra
Ostra is part of the Columbus Hospitality Group under the leadership of Chef Jamie Mammano. It is primarily an upscale seafood restaurant, with modern design and formal service. Our favorite way to enjoy Ostra is with a seat at the bar and a few seafood centered small plates.
