no. 040 - Summer GiNS Summer GiNS was a limited release gin from Compass Distillers in Halifax, Canada. I tried and purchased this gin at the distillery on August 4, 2019. This gin is made entirely from wheat and botanicals sourced around Nova Scotia.
In 2023 and 2024, Mon Lapin was named best restaurant in Canada. It's not just the food that's amazing, wines by the glass are a special treat. Service is nearly perfect with a devoted, passionate staff.
Au Pied de Cochon specializes in Canadian comfort food with an emphasis on foie gras. Their most famous dish is Canard en Conserve, "Duck in a Can." In addition to good food, they make their own gin and cider.
no. 100 GIN375 Gin375 is produced by CIRKA, the first grain-to-bottle distillery in Quebec. It is an old tom style gin, distilled with cranberries and sour cherries. I bought a bottle at the distillery after a tour in 2024.
