My first visit to Sharon Korean Kitchen in West Roxbury was great. I highly recommend the Kimchi Fried Rice with thinly sliced pork and a sunny fried egg. For more details check out the link in my story.

My traditional chicken noodle soup, enhanced with lemon and thyme.

I always like to eat lamb on Easter. Last years was traditional leg of lamb, the year before was chops, before that was meatballs. This year I decided to make smoked lamb shoulder barbacoa.

Thanks to Concord Market I learned about Longgasina Hamonado today. It is a Filipino breakfast sausage, somewhat similar to chorizo. It is normally eaten as breakfast with egg and fried rice. I served it tonight with steamed rice topped with pickled onions, and that was good too. If you’ve never tried it, you really should. These were excellent.

Last night was the grand opening of Nosh by Concord Market. The renovated space is very nice with a modern look, a pool table and a shuffleboard table, and a new menu. I had a burger, wings, and brussels. To read more about my visit, check out the link in my story.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Here’s my corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes. (I actually make mashed potatoes too because they are way better than boiled potatoes.) Back home we glaze our corned beef with mustard and brown sugar. It makes for the best corned beef you can imagine!

Last night I did a one-on-one cooking class for a friends. We made rosemary lamb blade chops, broiled asparagus, and sweet potatoes with fried onions. Doesn’t it look so good!
