travel bite: Our 2023 family summer vacation wrapped up in Niagara Falls last week, and the drive home sent us through Buffalo, NY namesake of one of my favorite foods, the buffalo wing. There was no chance I was driving through Buffalo without stopping for wings, and although they were invented at the Anchor Bar, it gets pretty rough reviews these days. So after a bit of research, I decided we should try out Gabriel's Gate.

travel bite: Zoe’s in the Fairmont Chateau Laurier
Zoe’s is located in the grand Fairmont Chateau Laurier, an opulent 660,000 square foot hotel completed in 1912. Constructed next to and in the style of Centre Block, the seat of Canada’s government, it once served Ottawa’s Union Station. Those days are gone, but the hotel continues with travelers from all over the world. Sometimes those travelers stay the night and sometimes they just drop in for tea.
