Sunday 12.10
We had family over to celebrate Thomas’s birthday. I made carnitas but there was a whole lot left over. There were a whole, whole lot of tortillas left over. Get ready for a lot of tacos this week. I also made salad and my dressing turned out really good.


Monday 12.11
As promised, today was leftovers. I used up some but not all of them so more to come. My carnitas are good enough that I will eat them multiple days in a row without complaining.

Tuesday 12.12
Well I couldn’t do any more carnitas today. Three days in a row is just too much. But I still made tacos because I have a ton of tortillas still. I made chicken tacos in a tequila-adobo sauce with red peppers. I also used up more of the rice so slowly we are running through all the food from Sunday.

Wednesday 12.13
Ok. I have had enough tacos. Tonight I made tostadas! Ok basically a taco that you don’t fold but in the end I folded it anyway. I used the last of the carnitas, pickled peppers, cotija cheese, and cilantro. I also added black beans, hot sauce, and a fried egg.

Thursday 12.14
So four days was enough. Though honestly I think I could have eaten another taco today. Instead, we went to Row 34. We got shrimp, oysters, fries, oyster sliders (because I can’t eat the raw ones) and really good spicy brussels sprouts. It was the first day the brussels were on the menu and I hope they stay for a while. For dessert, we had the butterscotch pudding, which I highly recommend.





Friday 12.15
Kelly and I did some Christmas shopping today and went over to the Natick Mall. We were starving and so decided to try Night Shift Brewing. It was just average. We got garlic parmesan wings and a birria french dip. I also got a cider that really tasted like beer. I doubt I’ll ever go back.


Saturday 12.16
I haven’t had a taco in two days! But I still have lots of tortillas so I made myself a little quesadilla for lunch. Again basically a taco. This evening we went to get our Christmas tree, better late than never. On the way back we stopped and Bedford House of Beef and I got a large beef three way with fries. I think I prefer the meat to bun ratio of the junior, but on a happy note their fries and horseradish were back to being good after disappointment on the last couple of visits.
