One Michelin Star
Rose’s Luxury near Capitol Hill features all the hallmarks of a Michelin Star restaurant, exceptional technique, creative flavors, and service that goes beyond. What distinguishes Rose’s Luxury is that all of this is done in a casual, playful manner.
Chef Aaron Silverman’s menu offers two diners seven shared courses, a guest designed tasting menu. “the pork and lychee salad” has been on the menu since it opened in 2013. Off menu additions like fried chicken thighs served with a bottle of hot sauce and paired with Miller High Life (The Champagne of Beers) in a champagne flute, are as playful as they are delicious. An unordered item can surprisingly appear at the table, showing off more of the kitchen’s talents. The beef ribs are an absolute must. The four glass wine paring is recommended, but like the food, it’s highly likely that more than four glasses will arrive.
The Barracks Row restaurant is located in a former town house. Exposed brick and playful decor is visible throughout. The first floor features two intimate dining rooms connected by an open kitchen where diners can enjoy the action. Upstairs, the space is filled by two even smaller dining rooms and a bar.
Dinner starts at $118 per person. The wine pairings are an additional $75. The price for two with tax and tip was just over $625.
