Unconventional Diner serves brunch until 3:45 every day, and dinner after. Brunch features a variety of standards, but most with a twist. Attached to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center it draws big crowds, which can slow down service. The atmosphere is more influencer than diner, but the food is the draw. Burgers and fries are served with a delicious “sexy sauce”. Even better is the sweet potato shakshuka, topped with fried eggs.
Brunch for two, which includes a twenty percent service charge, was right at $100.
