Pu Pu Restaurant

Pu Pu Restaurant is a West Roxbury favorite for take out Chinese food.
The people are friendly and the food is consistent.
The Pork with Green Beans and the Curry Chicken are both good.

Pu Pu is located within walking distance from my work so I occasionally walk over and have lunch there. It isn’t really a place for dining in. They have a few tables, but most people order to go. The dining room is rather tired.

Two dishes that have been particularly good so far. The first is the Pork with Green Beans, in a Szechuan style sauce. The pork is ground and the green beans are tender crisp. Ask for it extra spicy. The Curry Chicken is also good. Served in a yellow curry sauce with peppers and onions, the chicken is incredibly tender despite being white meat. It’s best with a side of white rice.

Pu Pu is a local restaurant, not one people are traveling to eat at, but the owner is very friendly and the food is consistent. It is a solid choice for take out in the area.
