Don’t be afraid of the long line at La Tejana. It moves quickly. Most diners are more than happy to wait for excellent breakfast tacos. Simple counter service and limited seating mean most people are taking breakfast to go. The former pop-up now has a permanent home in Mount Pleasant but still makes everything from scrambled eggs to soft flour tacos from scratch. The result is a heavenly breakfast worth standing in line for.
Tacos are just $4.75, with the exception of The 512. This BBQ brisket taco is $7. Small discounts are available for the rest when buying three or six tacos, meaning two people can have breakfast for just about $30.
