Sunday 6.18
My son and I started off Father’s Day by going out for donuts. We went to Eva’s Little Kitchen to see if we could get one. Turns out that they didn’t have donuts, but they did have an amazing chicken-bacon-alfredo pizza. I never did get a donut but of course I got him one from Dunkin’ Donuts.
That night we went to The Cure concert at The Xfinity Center. The concert was great. The food was just ok. The drinks were insanely overpriced. We got chicken fingers, fries, and tacos.

Monday 6.19
We stayed the night last night in Mansfield so we wouldn’t have to drive home after the concert. Before we went home we stopped at Cafe on the Common. I got the banana bread french toast, which was more bread than french toast. I also got some sausage and an egg. I finished the end of my wife’s omelette and her home fries. She picked better than I did. For dinner, I just had a bowl of cereal.

Tuesday 6.20
I was in the office today and my coworker was ordering lunch, so I got a fried chicken sandwich from the Real Deal. I was trying not to get something not too heavy, like their Cuban which is awesome. The flavor was good, but the chicken was lacking, not thick enough.
Dinner was better. I made a one pot meal with ground pork, corn, black beans, onions, garlic, and peppers. I topped it with a little bit of creamy cilantro-lime dressing I had left from the other night. It was delicious.

Wednesday 6.21
I didn’t eat until after work today. I stopped at Market Basket to get food for dinner. I decided to try papa rellena. I didn’t even know what it was, but it was in the prepared food section and I was starving. Turns out it is a Peruvian dish made of ground beef surrounded by mashed potatoes and then fried. Probably not diet food, but pretty tasty.
I was planning to cook, but it got too late and so we just ordered a pizza from New London. We got chicken and ham for us and plain ham for Thomas. It was particularly good today.

Thursday 6.22
I started my day with a slice of cold pizza left over from last night. In the afternoon I snacked on some pretzels. For dinner, I made swordfish with rice and spinach. It was delicious. Kelly and I shared a nice Spanish white wine from Concord Market.

Friday 6.23
I had another bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats this morning. But the day was really about Karma. I went there for lunch and got some sushi, crazy maki, yellowtail and scallion maki, and shrimp and yellowtail nigiri. Then I went back for a late dinner and got salt and pepper wings which is one of my favorites. It was particularly good and the jalapeños were extra spicy.

Saturday 6.24
I got two mai tais to go last night so Kelly asked for stir fry for dinner. I made shrimp with peppers, carrots, and onions in a lemon-soy ginger sauce. It was excellent. For lunch I had a roast pork sandwich and some chips.

Top Three
My pre-vacation diet continued this week. It’s going well. I still got to eat some delicious food. Here are the three best things I ate:
3. Chicken-Bacon Alfredo Pizza (Sunday)
2. Shrimp Stir Fry (Saturday)
1. Salt and Pepper Wings (Friday)
