One Michelin Star
The Harwood Arms, the Fulham gastropub, has retained a Michelin Star for 14 years. Director Brett Graham and Head Chef Josh Cutress have created a proudly British menu centered around game and wild food. In 2020, it was named the top gastropub in the UK and remains the only Michelin Star pub in London.
The Harwood Arms offers a three-course menu for ยฃ70. The selection is tight with four starters and four mains to choose from. On Sundays, a variety of roasts for two takes the place of the mains. The pudding course includes either a sweet dish or a selection of cheeses.
Their signature dish is a gorgeous Venison Scotch Egg served with Oxford sauce. This is ordered separately from the prix fixe as part of their snacks selections. They also offer a Glamorgan Vegetarian Scotch Egg for those who want to avoid deer.
The restaurant is cozy. The front room holds several hefty wooden tables and the bar. A slightly smaller side room has additional seating. The service is is friendly and knowledgeable, but informal. Waitstaff went out of their way to honor special requests.
The wine list is respected, but the beer selection is limited. The cocktail program is strong and they pour several local gins including Portobello Road and Martin Millers.
The cost of dinner was ยฃ490 approximately $620 for four people.
