Sunday 3.26
I did not eat enough today. I started with a half of a curry chicken salad sandwich, tomato-mozzarella salad, and chips. The chicken salad and the tomato salad were from yesterday’s visit to the Concord Cheese Shop. Those are two favorites that if you haven’t tried you should. Then a little later I had the last little bite of yesterday’s Phil’s Fabulous and a few more chips.
For “dinner” we went to New City Microcreamery to get ice cream. This was the third year in a row we went out for ice cream on March 26. It is becoming a tradition and one that I like. It’s kind of a family kick off of spring. I got Bananas Foster but also tried Pancakes & Syrup as well as Bourbon Vanilla. It was very good, but not enough food for one day.

Monday 3.27
As you know, DeNo’s dining room is closed for renovations which is really messing with my lunch routine. There are just days when I want to sit somewhere and work while I eat my lunch, somewhere other than my desk. I tried a new place today, Tony’s Place. While it was a good place to sit and work, the club soda was flat and the veal parm sub was meh at best. I might go back, but probably not. For dinner, I just had some smoked turkey breast rolled up with pepper jack cheese and some chips. Not an exciting food day.

Tuesday 3.28
I woke up really hungry and ended up eating lunch before I left for work. I had some smoked turkey with melted pepper jack cheese on toast with pretzels. Because I ate so early, I needed a snack before dinner. I ended up getting a bag of Smartfood popcorn.
For dinner I pan seared cod and then poached it in a little wine and topped it with a lemon-cream pan sauce. I served it with asparagus with onions and some basmati rice.

Wednesday 3.29
This morning I took some students to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. By the time we got back to school, it was after noon and I was starving. My team ordered from the Real Deal. I got the cuban panini which is probably my favorite thing they make. It’s a big sandwich and I demolished it. I wasn’t too hungry after that, so I just has some Cinnamon Toast Crunch for dinner.

Thursday 3.30
I have been in the mood for gnocchi ever since I made it for my wife’s birthday. I decided I would make some tonight, but I had more ground beef than I needed. I decided to use some of it to make a little breakfast burger. I topped it with egg, Canadian bacon, and pepper jack cheese. I also had a few salt and vinegar chips.
For dinner I made the ricotta gnocchi. I made a sauce of ground beef, tomato, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, and oregano. I also added a little heavy cream to it. I was really pleased with how it turned out. I also made a side salad and got some garlic bread from the grocery store. We had a half bottle of Goldeneye Pinot Noir with it.

Friday 3.31
Today was a cheat day. I ate a lot. It started with a fish sub from DeNo’s. Then my wife and I went to the Celtics game. We pigged out before and after. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip at the Harp. It was just ok. I’m not a big fan of the Harp. After that we went to Causeway where we got smoked buffalo wings. these were much better. After the game we tried out Guy Fieri’s where we had, wait for it, more buffalo wings, and also al pastor tacos. The food was decent, but not anything to get excited about.

Saturday 4.1
I ate too much yesterday. I really wasn’t hungry today. I ended up just grabbing a grilled chicken sub from New London with a few chips. That was it. End of story.
